We can ID this bird as a male White-breasted Nuthatch as follows:
- Color pattern: very dark crown and nape that contrasts with blue-gray back. Face and underparts are white.
- Dark eyes stand out against unmarked white face.
- Very short tail.
- Chestnut color on lower belly and tail.
- Long narrowbill. This can be seen in second photo.
