Finally success in seeing and photographing the Yellow-breasted Chat. It has been reported to be at Sugden Regional Park by ebird alerts for the past couple of weeks. We have been there several times and didn't sight it.. Today we finally saw it and managed to get a good photo.
The Yellow-breasted Chat is easy to identify with it white "spectacle", its bright yellow throat and breast and its stout bill. This is probably a female, as the bill is not the black of a male.
The Yellow-breasted Chat is considered to be a Wood-Warbler evev though it looks very different than other Wood-Warbler species. It is larger than other warblers and has a stout bill unlike other warblers.
The Yellow-breasted Chat is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 264.
