NONBREEDING MARBLED GODWIT, TIGERTAIL BEACH, MARCO ISLAND, FL

      We identified this  sandpiper as a nonbreeding Marbled Godwit as follows:
  • Very long upturned bill with pinkish base
  • Large size
  • Buffy/cinnamon color
The Marbled Godwit is a new species to our Life List, which now stands at 236.
