CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, DUFFY'S LANE, PALGRAVE CONSERVATION AREA, CALEDON, ON

   This Chestnut-sided Warbler is a juvenile in fall plumage.  The juvenile warbler does not have the chestnut flanks of the adult.  We identified this as a juvenile Chestnut-sided warbler as follows:
  • Prominent white eye-ring
  • Raised tail
  • Greenish above and pale gray below
   The Chestnut-sided warbler is a new species for our Life List, which now stands at 146.
