BIRDING AT EAGLE LAKES COMMUNITY PARK: BLACK-NECKED STILT

During the fall and winter months Eagle Lakes Community Park is one of the best birding hotspots in the Naples, Florida area.  We had never actually been at the park this time of year, so we thought we would try it out.  Even this time of year it's still a good birding hotspot.
We sighted and photographed a Black-necked Stilt.  It is a distinctive bird, easy to recognize:
  • Distinctive black and whte pattern: black above & white below
  • Very long red legs
  • Long black bill
