Back in December of 2013 I took an early morning walk outside my home in Naples, FL and captured this video of an anhinga swallowing a fish it had just caught. Notice that the anhinga had speared the fish with both bills. It then struggled to dislodge the fish from its bills. When the fish is dislodged, it then flips the fish in the air and catches and swallows it head first.
At the time I put this video on You Tube; I thought I'd resurrect it for this blog.
